This Long Vowels vs. Short Vowels Words Flip Chart, by Lil’ Reading Scientists Literacy Solutions TM, is the perfect way to practice differentiating between short and long vowels. This Flip Chart contrasts the difference between CVCe and CVC words – also known as the closed and the vowel-consonant-e syllable types.

There are three parts to this Flip Chart:
    1) The words in color coding (pink vowels are long; blue vowels are short)
    2) The words in black text
    3) Nonsense Words with short and long vowels, in black text

Teachers simply download the Flip Chart on their ipad, tablet, laptop, or classroom computer, and students practice reading the long and short vowel words.

This Kit dovetails perfectly with the other Level 11: Long Vowels Kits from Lil’ Reading Scientists, including:

    Long Vowels Decoding/Reading Kit
    Long Vowels Writing Kit
    Long Vowels Word Building/Spelling Kit
    Long Vowels Flip Chart
