Posted on February 5, 2018 by in

This October Journal, by Lil’ Reading Scientists Literacy Solutions TM, is a fun way to teach and practice emerging literacy skills!

Students use the Halloween theme-based pages to count phonemes in words, count syllables in words, Complete the Sentences, practice composition with Writing Prompts, and Sound out and Spell the Words.

For students learning the 6 Syllable Types of the English Language, they are provided with opportunities to identify and mark the syllable types and scoop words into syllables.

This October Journal is perfect for students in Grades 1, 2, and 3, and for homeschooled students. Use for morning work, homework, and literacy centers.

Regular education teachers, Resource teachers, Reading Specialists, and Speech and Language Therapists will like the ease of use, and the language-based tasks that students are given.
